Timing and Fees
Applications for the 2020 Holiday Marketplace will open on July 6, 2020 and will close on September 8, 2020.
The event will be held on Friday, November 27th through Friday, December 11th
There is a non-refundable application fee of $25.00
There will be one booth fee for the 2020 Decatur Holiday Marketplace. The fee will be $75. This will include a place in our virtual marketplace website in addition to plenty of free advertisment of your store by Clairemont Elementary PTA and Marketplace committee members. This will include a weekly spotlight on 2-3 artists on our website, Facebook, and Instagram. In addition, we are speaking with several local publications to advertise our event.
We will be hosting this event on our Clairemont Elementary PTA page. We are so excited to reveal all our hard work this summer to continue this amazing event as safely as possible. The best way to insure your application is submitted in a timely manner is to complete the online form and pay the $25.00 registration fee via Paypal on Clairemont PTA website. If you are not able to complete the form/pay the registration fee online, please submit your application by printing out the form and mailing it, along with your check and artwork photographs to:

Selection & Notification
Our goal is to offer a variety of original arts and crafts in the Marketplace. Entries are judged primarily, though not strictly, on quality, marketability and originality. All artwork must be the original handmade work of the artist. Only mediums listed on the application and approved by Decatur Holiday Marketplace can be sold during the show.
Previous inclusion in the Marketplace does not guarantee future selection.
Exhibitors will be notified within 5 days of submitting their application. This year we will be do rolling applications.
At time of notification, the (tax deductible) Booth Fee of $75
Below is a map of the school. Typically there are 4-5 artists in each classroom and 10-12 in the Media Center. The RED squares denote the entry/hallway locations that are $175.00, all other booths in rooms and side hallways are $150.00
On the Day
Exhibit areas will be open for set-up beginning at 4:00 pm on Friday. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ENTER THE SCHOOL PRIOR TO 4 PM.
Artists are required to man their booth for the entire show. Failure to stay for the entire show may result in you not being allowed to participate in future shows.
You will receive detailed instructions for load in and load out. The Marketplace is held inside of Clairemont Elementary school and we must be respectful of the students and facilities. Failure to follow instructions for unloading and parking may impact your ability to participate in future events.
Vendor parking in the neighborhood for unloading only. Please park at Church of Christ, Scientist on Clairmont Ave.
Decatur Holiday Marketplace is operated by a committee of parent volunteers at Clairemont Elementary School. City Schools of Decatur is not responsible for loss or damage to art or injury to anyone participating in the Marketplace. Exhibitors are responsible for their own personal and property liability.
